The new Tigers stadium is an impressive modern re-development of the old Welford Road ground in Leicester.
The north stand development is already underway
(March '09) and when complete will contain a plethora of

internal rooms including; main reception, concourses with food outlets and bars, executive suites,
merchandising outlets, ticket sales, Tiger bar, offices and club 1880 lounge. The north stand also known as
the Caterpillar Stand will hold a massive 10,600 seats with excellent views of the pitch.

  .

The stadium will be constructed in two main phases, firstly the north stand development due to be completed
ready for the start of the coming season ('09), and secondly the 'horseshoe' development which will replace the
current east, west and south stands and is expected to be developed over the coming years.
(potentially 8 years away). Click here to see more external views of the stadium.

Once the stadium is fully constructed the new capacity will be approx
30,000 seats making the new
development one of the most prodigious rugby football grounds in the country.
