< Return to previous page                                                                               the software   Silverstone Racing Circuit - New Roadway Development Maelstrom has produced the first ever fully immersive roadway planning program developed for the Silverstone Racing Circuit. The aim of the program was to enable the Racing Circuit along with the planning and construction company to promote the new roadway development in a new a unique way - allowing complete freedom of movement, even flying.   The program featured various access points from the A43 and also the local village of Silverstone, leading to and from the circuit. New roundabouts, bridges and even tree planting proposals were featured and included in the 3km site, making it one of the largest real-time time environments ever created.   Maelstrom created special in-house development tools to plot trees and lay road markings, as here at Maelstrom we believe accuracy and our relentless attention to detail is what makes us stand out from the competition. This like most of our architectural pieces has no time limit therefore enabling the user to look around and even revisit areas seen previously, not always achievable with other methods of visualisation such as pre-rendered fly-throughs.
