- RICOH Arena -
CCFC New Stadium Development '05

Maelstrom has been working closely with Arena Coventry Ltd
(CCFC stadium developers)
for over two years producing what is now one of the largest and most
detailed Virtual Reality environments in existence. This 3km site includes
the full approach journey from the M6 motorway, the new train station and
car parking facilities and local supermarket developmental space. The
Arena structure itself incorporates a 3 storey open plan atrium, a vast
exhibition space detailed in various guises; exhibition hall, concert
hall, and snooker hall. Restaurants, offices, bars, corporate boxes shown
in evening
(casino
bedroom)
and daytime setup, and a huge open plan 1000 seat executive lounge and
restaurant that overlooks the pitch and seating.

- The
primary use of the software to date has been to secure the naming rights
for the arena, now known as the Ricoh Arena. The software will now be used
to help sell the inner space, corporate hospitality suites, individual
stand sponsors, stadium and pitch advertising and also the office space
built within the structure.

- Season
ticket holders can even visit/select their seat for the coming season and
see the view from that seat before the stadium construction has been
completed.
