Maelstrom have produced extremely detailed and accurate models and scenarios, from Operating Theatre’s, to Oil Tankers and Platforms, Aircraft Carriers down to the smallest nut on a complete recreation of a helicopter. Within the headset the trainee will feel as though they are in that environment, under extreme conditions if necessary, increasing the effectiveness way beyond textbooks or simple screen based models. We have also integrated a variety of Gloves into our software so Trainees can pick up virtual objects within the environment (a spanner for example) and perform a required task. Every single action by the trainee, down to how many times they turn the bolt, can be recorded and have direct influences within the environment.
