Frankfurt Motor Show, New Car
Launch
- This promotional experience
was used at the Frankfurt Motor Show
(1995) and Ford Dealerships around
Europe. It was based around a test drive of the then recently launched
Ford Galaxy. The user sat in a real Galaxy seat during the experience,
which was equipped with a bass shaker to simulate 'rumble' from the road.
The player experienced being driven through town and country by a virtual
chauffeur. The events that the user experienced in their ride were staged
to identify particular features of the vehicle.
Although the graphics on this program are obviously outdated now by our
standards, the application effectively demonstrates how the technology can
be used as part of an exhibition, and attracts attention from the press
and the public. The technology draws them in, we can provide the software
to ensure they are then delivered the most suitable, and powerful message.
