Elasmosaurus - ( Plate Reptile)
Plesiosaurs normally had fairly long necks, but Elasmosaurus takes the record by having a neck with 75 vertebrae. They lived in the Cretaceous Period which started from 144 million years ago and lasted for 80 million years. Plesiosaurs were very agile in the water and could hunt fast-moving fish with the aid of their very long necks. Elasmosaurus had four very long paddle-like flippers so aiding in the fluent flight like movement through the water.
