Budweiser Virtual Shootout Version I & II
The Virtual Shootout game developed for Budweiser was the first ever Virtual Reality Football Experience developed and proved to be a resounding success in the marketplace.

Players wore a headset and foot sensor and took part in a virtual penalty shootout in the Yokohama Stadium in Japan - the venue of the 2002 World Cup Final. The headset allowed the users to look around the stadium to experience the atmosphere, whilst the foot sensor accurately tracked the speed and angle of the players foot as they kicked a virtual football. This then made the in-game football travel at the correct speed and direction, to see if they could beat the computer controlled goalkeeper.

The game's graphics and audio were all fully branded with Budweiser's logo's etc.

The promotion formed a large part of Budweiser's world cup promotions visiting around 450 venues in a 4
month period. 11 units were built which then toured the UK, Italy and Spain. Each unit was at a venue for one evening, and then taken away at the end of the night. Customers had to buy two bottles of Budweiser to receive a pass to play and prizes were awarded at the end of the night for the winners of the shootout and subsequent play-off.
